I was out of the house at 17. Kids need to get out in the world and learn life. They need to learn critical thinking asap.

I moved back in with my parents at 24 and stayed till I was 28 to save to buy a home and build my business. and I am thriving!! There was a set goal in mind. So I don't agree with the get out of the house as soon as possible, especially if they are paying rent (kind of an egotistical thing to say). However, Dave still made some good points.

I’m convinced that investing as little as 50k-150k in the right company before it goes big is more important than buying the dip, however picking the right company lies the difficult task. My question is, what are the best opportunities to accrue profits now, before market crash?

Not sure if this comment will be seen as this is an older video. But i’m in a fairly similar situation. Just turned 24, would love to buy a house but that’s at least 2+ years away. I have a car loan and some student loans. As far as “bad debt” it’s only the car that i have. Should i not try to start maxing out my Roth IRA?? Not ideal, but any contributions made could be pulled and then used for a house if i’m not mistaken. Would love any insight/feedback anyone has

I’m in the same dude situation but I’m not staying till 28 maybe 24/25. But from my financial view, I did not gain or learn anything of what to do with money as this kid was inquiring about.

I came to the US from Macedonia at the age of 14. I am now 42. Fully integrated/assimilated—i feel more American than Macedonian.

The one thing about American culture i still can’t wrap my head around is this stigma associated with living with one’s parents and the rush to get out. To kick out your child at 18 or start charging them rent.

There’s nothing more fulfilling, more amazing than good family life and a strong bond a person can maintain with their parents or children.

Absolutely disagree with moving out as soon as possible. If you can stay with your parents for a few extra years then absolutely do it! Pull your weight helping with projects, laundry, and grocery shopping while maintaining a massive saving and investing rate. You're not less of an adult doing so. I would argue far more of one!

This is terrible advice. Absolutely stay with your parents and save what you can. Because I stay with my parents I am actually able to save for a house deposit, which means no money will go to a landlord. I've 40 thousand Euros saved which would not be possible if I was paying the rent in my hometown.

Great video—now I've hit $190,590. I was having this exact conversation with my son the other night-generational wealth isn't just about getting money. It's about teaching everyone not only how to make it, but also how to maintain it. It does no good for me to provide for my family if they don't understand how to manage and sustain it

About to turn 27, still living with my parents because it's impossible to purchase property in NJ even after years of saving. I'm doing everything correct like this young gentleman but feel as though the only way to get ahead is to stay with my parents until I can afford living on my own in a non rented property. It's not a lack of motivation, it's being smart enough to know that living at your parents without any expenses is the best way to set up for the future.

Why would i move out and pay 4x what i pay my dad to do the same thing? Its not that i cant but literally why would i? I can do more for less here

weird that they refused or couldn’t give advice because he lives at home, he’s literally just ahead of the curve and looking for guidance. with that 43k i would go heavier into etf rather than stocks but he should also look to buying a house in NJ and renting it out. that 43k he has from the accident is a gold mine of a startup. find a way to only put 20-25k down and rent it out while you’re still in that work study.

Yeah I disagree with Dave on this one.. I'm 37, had to move back in with my parents 4 years ago after a relationship with a narcissist. She left me homeless for 2 years, and my family finally decided to let me move back in. I have a 6 yr old daughter as well that I pay $800 mo for in child support. I have nearly $80k saved up now though. I think my parents want to keep me here too bc I pay half their mortgage every month. They're going to miss me here pretty soon, I know that much

I agree with Dave on most advice he gives, but definitely not this. Considering the median pay has barely changed in the last 30 years while the price of houses have nearly doubled, it seems those who bought back then are a bit out of touch when it comes to this subject. Honestly, if your parents allow it, you should be living at home until you are in your late 20s at a minimum. I live in CT and you should see the price of a 400 sq ft studio condo…

Terrible advice what terrible out of touch advice. Why shouldn’t you live with your parents at 26 to 28. The social stigma? You’d be saving money on rent and be able to help your parents who might be aging at that point who said you can’t invest while living with your parentsweird weird advice

Crypto momentum isn’t just hype , it’s positioning, timing, and knowing when to scale. I started layering in around $10k, now sitting just above $109k. Not from luck or moonshots, but from sticking to a structured strategy and real guidance.

Sounds like they're almost jealous and if my parents let me stay there I would have done that and it is a matter of fact I still will be living with my parents creating a huge bankroll
