I need all your attention (financial advisors on this) because I have a very interesting question, and I really need your spotlight in this. Additionally, tell me whether it makes sense. Also this question is for a salaried person who is in a stable job.
Calculate this sum for me and explain it explicitly.
1. If you borrow ksh. 400,000/ from a sacco at an interest rate 1% p.a on reducing balance, how much deductions will be made from your payslip of Kes 40,000/ if you want to repay in 48 months.
Remember to add a processing fee of 2.1%.
2. What if you take that kes 400, 000 of that amount in a bond that pays 12.5% p.a for a period of 4 years. Withholding tax being 10%. How much "profit" will i make?
Does it make any financial sense, and would you advise? Remember you can comfortably afford to pay the deductions provided they don't surpass 10k
