Appreciating how clearly this video explained about Investing, For 2026 beginners like me, how can I start investing with around $5,500 with little or no risk and actually be successful?
Reaching retirement at 58 and seeing $48k biweekly is an absolute blessing. Yet, the real victory is knowing my family was there through every step of the hustle their unwavering support means the most. Thank you.
I’ve been getting into crypto trading lately, but the market moves so fast that I’m still trying to find the right approach. What interests me most is learning how experienced traders manage risk, stay disciplined, and keep emotions from influencing their decisions.
I’m not knocking Ramsey but I disagree. Beans and rice until you’re totally out of debt? You can die tomorrow and that did nothing for you. It’s possible to balance saving and spending. I have a house and car payment, we go on 2-4 vacations a year, and live a very fun life. I also have a brokerage account, 401k, savings and a lump sum pension. I’ll retire at 55 or 56, I’m 53 now, with about $2 million +/-. My goal is not to die with $20 million +, it’s to live the best life possible while I’m able.
Most people just can't grasp the concept of a don't touch unless emergency fund. I have that in my budget with x going in every month and it just keep growing. The older your get the larger those emergencies can be so just don't touch it!! I continue to do this even in retirement. That makes it even more critical to save for that.
Consistently. That’s how
Remember. Starting late means ending late.
eliminating debt before those retirement accounts is solid advice, i followed that and now i handle multiple chains on era wallet too
If I were to get committed and invest 7,500 a year which is the maximum you can do on a Roth IRA for the next 20 years 😅 which would be $150,000 in 20 years what would that kind of look like?
This is quite educational. It's crucial for newcomers to keep in mind that the financial markets are highly irrational in the short run. You should constantly be ready for the unexpected. That is how chance operates. Because of the inherent risks in the market, I always favor long-term investments.
I was recently laid off from my truck driver job with Pepsi. Even though I was the driver of the year, they go by seniority. I was so embarrassed to tell my family, now I'm studding several hours per day (7days p/ week) and starting to be profitable, however not consistent. Some days I lose $50, and yesterday I made $2300, most days I make between $200-$300. My goal is to never have to work for anyone again.
Damn Dave that button down is 👌
etf's in sectors that do have a good future …………. and the you can go to the beach .
Am I the only one still trying to figure this out? Seeing everyone else win while I’m still stuck in the same spot is honestly frustrating. Sometimes I even wonder if trading is really as profitable as people make it seem. If it is, how are you guys actually doing it? Because right now, it feels like I’m missing something.
The hardest part isn't picking the right stocks, it's actually staying invested when everything feels like it's falling apart
On April 19, 2026, North Korea launched multiple short-range ballistic missiles (SRBMs) toward the Sea of Japan, marking a significant increase in weapons tests. The missiles, described as "Hwasongpo-11-Ra" types armed with cluster munitions, flew approximately 140 kilometers (87 miles). This follows other tests in January 2026, which included suspected hypersonic weapons.
Dont pause your 401k match
💰 The way Dave Ramsey explains prioritizing debt repayment before investing, along with the clear breakdown of 401k versus Roth, makes a beginner like me feel so much more confident. The advice to "live like no one else so that later you can live like no one else" is incredibly inspiring! ✨🙌📈
The student loan stopped everything.
The biggest investment is often education and changing habits. Everything else follows after that.
Disagree with holding off on match as compound interest is all about time
My husband passed away. Im 59 yr old turning 60 soon. Still working and having 403b but have savings I would like to invest but have no clue best option for me. Any advice
In March 2026, the international fund is out performing domestic funds. It’s carrying my portfolio at the moment.
Could somebody possibly explain what he means when he says he spreads his mutual funds through those 4 types of categories? I feel like im not grasping all of what he's saying. Does he mean what he puts towards his mutual fund? I.e; growth, growth and income, aggressive growth, and the last one. Any help would be appreciated.
If he has a match, he’s literally losing part of his salary by not getting it. Unless his debt is a very high rate, it still makes sense to contribute to the 401k and pay off the debt simultaneously. You made the argument yourself. Don’t miss out on the 100% rate of return.
only Dave gonna advise against a company match and tax savings to pay off low interest debt.
What if your company does not match ?
nice
Disagree with the beans and rice because wealth doesn’t matter if health isn’t in order. If you don’t go out to eat you can eat healthy if you shop right and don’t buy a bunch of snacks/prepared foods.
I’m 67 and I just now paid off everything I had issues, health problems, and I have a little bit of money. Should I do a S&P 500, Roth and just load that up I don’t know what to do
Everything was explained clearly.
