I honestly save a surrprising amount of money this year just by being more patient before buying online. One thing that helped me a lot is collecting coupons first (even 1% or 5% is enough) instead of buying out immediately. I always leave items in my cart for a day or two or if not, more days, then search for extra promo codes before paying. I also compare discounts between apps because some stores quietly give better coupon bundles on certain days.
Recently I started checking PromoPro UK whenever I’m planning a bigger purchase, especially like clothes or tech accessories, and I’ve found a few codes that actually worked though some is not working or expired because many already take it, but still PATIENCE 🎉🎉. Another small habit that helps me save is stacking store sales with free shipping vouchers whenever possible. It may not seem huge at first, but after a few months the savings really add up.

I'm saving 92% of my salary. Both of my flats are bought for cash so no debt at all. No car – I mostly take public transportation. I don't eat out – cook home and I'm a vegetarian that eats one meal a day (that's all my body requires). I more or less free of compulsions and make a conscious choice every minute, before every purchase. I do buy occasional treats if I really want to (but it is rare when I really do want anything). I don't try to impress anyone and I'm very picky as to who do I hang out with (very few quality people). I don't allow anyone including my family to influence any decision I make.
All of that 94% saved money goes to buy Vanguard S&P 500 (VOO) and flexible bank deposits that pay 25% p.a. (I'm based outside US), and that I can withdraw at any point of time leaving a small minimum required balance.

It would be great if somebody could explain how to calculate budget for 1 person of 4 persons family. I truly don't know how to calculate food eaten, electricity consumed and t-shirts that are worn by 1+ family members. And it's definitely not take all expenses and divide by 4.

My BFFs buy things when they're sad! They always say they don't have money and 'only break even' every month, and it drives me CRAZY!
