Tying a money routine to payday gives it a clear trigger instead of leaving it to whenever you remember. Would you change the order of the routine for someone paid weekly rather than monthly?
so good
Saying that most people are broke just because they can't manage their money is some intergalactic cope
Thanks Chan, Appreciate the Financial Advice 💯

Good!
If I had an extra $401 in income every month, I’d be able to invest $1 per month.

Groceries and food 10% of income? Should I go find a ladder so you can get off of your high horse safely?
I am stressing currently having had to move back home, been putting money aside every week at least $200-$300 into an external account, trying to save enough to buy some land and a modular home to put on it, that and my Roths 401k have been going well, but man trying to get by every week with maybe $350 left is killing me between bills, gas ( driving an hour to and from work does me no favors.) food etc it vanishes pretty quick, I been needing something to help me figure how to plan and get some level of financial grounding and this financial TED talk has been extremely useful.
I loved this video
Pretty good timing, YouTube—it just so happens to be Friday and I got paid. O_O

idk where do u live 😀 but for me mortgage is half 15% 😀 food 20% and utilities 15% its probably at best values it happens that i spend 50-70% of my money depending time of year
Simple, practical, and valuable advice. Everyone should know this!
Really useful payday routine. The order matters: cover the essentials, clear expensive debt, protect yourself with savings and then invest consistently.
My biggest addition would be to automate each step for the day after payday. A financial plan that depends on remembering and resisting temptation every month is eventually going to fail.
