Would anyone know if I missed payments during this time and I get compensation would I be able to take the missed payments off my credit score? Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks for the tips! I just posted a video on how to create a budget in 5 minutes, it could be a great complement to this topic. You can find it on my channel! https://youtu.be/rsHkm6UQbWk
Will this apply if you got a 0% finance deal? Im assuming not as it was about selling people a higher % loan and trousering more commission but perhaps I've misunderstood
Iv already got 2 claims active with a claim company does this mean they will be bypassed now? I put the claim in over 2 years ago and I wish I never bothered now
Thank u I was in a discretionary commission I had the email back saying I was in one with moto nova thank u for the update im still waiting to hear back from them now about what's happening
Up until 4 years ago I pretty much had PCP for my last 12 years of cars. This is a great update. Things like this happened with the banks and were very costly to them.
I was a salesman for 20 years and, yes, we made finance commission – that was our job, to make money. If people weren't happy they went somewhere else for their money, and noone was forced to sign anything. The whole thing is mental – Im sure the legal profession has made a lot of money from this, so thats ok.
Absolutely right that people are not exploited and ripped off, however these class action claims are only going to ultimately cost us all more money. We need tighter regulation so it doesn’t happen in the first place.
I used the Money saving websites forms last year and Audi confirmed I had been sold finance at the higher level, so just waiting now on how much and when!
There was a similar scheme that everyday loans entered into. It was sold to the people they owed money to as a the only way to get your money back or they will just declare themselves bankrupt. Part of the “scheme” was they got re assess the claims that FCA had upheld but they hadn’t yet paid out. They marked their own homework and declared 90% of the claims in their favour, the ones they didn’t they paid pennies in the £. I went from them owing me £5k to nothing.
Back in 2008 I bought a new Boxster which was in the dealers showroom on PCP. Dreadful deal in hindsight, it would have been cheaper and a better deal to have ordered a new. It seems it was on an old Porsche scheme that VWFS don't have access to. Got nowhere so far with Porsche.
Over the period mentioned I’ve had 4 Range Rovers on finance through dealerships with Black Horse. Up to your video I’ve steered clear of claiming because of the number of ads on social media that I have no idea which are scams and which are not. I’ll hold off filling out the form from Martin Lewis in view of this video.
I remember how astonishingly hard it was a few years ago to pay cash for a new cars … now I know why. My neighbour, who is maybe is a bit more shrewd than me, always used to “accept” a finance deal, then cancel it very early during the “cooling off period”… paying in cash instead.

It is only fair to protect the Banks 😂
Yes, they will never ever want to 'go out of their way' to find their customers – it'll be going to people to 'claim', it'll save them money

I saw that myself last night on YouTube. Looking forward to see if I am owed from motorhome finance I took out 7 year ago.
Thanks for the update.
Thanks Jim
Bang up to date as usual.
