I was 30k in debt at the start of the year. I am down to 6k and just took on a lucrative job. I am looking to be debt free by the end of the year and start that emergency fund!
I could not imagine being in the credit card debt all these people have. The thought of maxing out credit equal to or over an unstable yearly income is not what I would label living my best life or having fun. On the other hand, having a year of income in savings feels very good. What's funny is the constant argument that going out to eat or getting coffee is not why people can't afford to live but it absolutely is a detriment when 50% of your monthly income is spent on that bs, or even worse, you put that crap on your credit card and can't even pay it off.
Idk why’s everyone hating. He’s actually decent. No kids, no 1000 dollar door dash, and he actually tries. Just he should fuckin focus on one trade and chill on tech. I am still using my 2014 MacBook Pro. They don’t need upgrading.
I'm gen x. I'm debt free. I own a house. We never leaned on our parents to support us. We worked 40 to 60 hours a week . We had very little raises. We budget and did without.
I have a question. I have a student loan with a payment of $300/month but currently have negative equity. I also have a car loan at 5% and a couple of 0% loans that total about $1300 in payments. I have the ability to pay one or the other off and am curious how you would go about it? I am thinking about paying off the car and loans because then I save $1300 a month and a few thousand dollars remain in the bank account. If I pay off the student loan, I only save $300/month and am nearly out of cash. My thought is to pay off the car and the loans and put that $1300 towards the student loan at which point it wouldn't be going backwards and then pay off the student loan once I have enough money and some extra for emergencies. Does this sound like a sound plan or would paying off the student loan first make more sense?
vaping is bad guys!…….shouldnt be said by an overweight guy. its his hubris and "im 100% right" that pisses me of sometimes. i know thats the joke of the show but bro needs to step back sometimes. i dont like or think vaping is good but its a very minor health risk. unlike Caleb hammering down some pies which IS a bad thing
Schools need to be teaching kids about finances! Out of all 12 years of school I literally only took one class, personal finance, and they only gave us it for a quarter semester. They basically just taught us how to write a check and that the IRS is bad. Kids need to know these things! My parents are terrible financially and they were not able to teach me anything and now I’m 30 years old trying to figure everything out. Like this is what should be taught in schools instead of critical race theory!!

"Needed" a Mac Studio cause his 2018 Mac was slowing down… Dude I am a programmer still rocking a 2014 MBP. I do not use this computer for my day job programming but it does do all of my side jobs I need. You did not need a Mac Studio… you're not even using it.
Halfway through this video, and pretty much sure this dude watched way too much TikTok and is obsessed with getting-rich-quick hustles and thinks they will be successful while putting in the least amount of work in said hustles
If you are realy financialy iliterate you don't have debt. I am financialy iliterate. I didn't know about Credit card mimimums. I always thought you had to pay your Bill on full, did that for 30 years. Always thought you needed to save money to buy stuff. I saved to buy my car and saved for my house. Knowing a little bit is dangerous.

Caleb, how do you come up with the video titles? I love them!
I told my dad about your account because I like the Youtube shorts but I didn’t realize you did the corny titles 😭
Caleb cooked this guy 😂
I felt really called out during the pen section lmao.
this guy loves expensive stuff
Thank you for trying to get the lip smacking down; I can’t stand it. I wish there was a way to dampen that sound on the mic. So many people do it…
Thanks to your show, I have made the decision to delete all the food delivery apps from my phone 🎉
What pet insurance does Caleb recommend?

The way he said $44 at the 41 minute mark is the most high-pitched I've ever heard him go
