Retired at age 53. I am in my early 60s. Because they couldn't understand the idea of not working if you don't have to, many individuals resisted me. I viewed my life in phases. In my latter years, I owe it to myself to "stop and smell the roses," even if I have worked hard to get everything I have now. My situation is that I retired and moved to Latin America. It made it possible for me to enjoy my new surroundings while escaping all the bad things that were going on in America.
If you’re trying to figure out what to study in college between these two, I cannot advocate for accounting enough. I spent an entire semester devoted to figuring out which one is better/more opportunistic. Of course it’s not for everyone but if you could see yourself doing either believe me accounting is way more worth your time. Many people have told me that the hardest finance classes are the easiest accounting classes in most universities. You gain a higher skill set, there’s way way way more jobs for accounting, and any accountant can switch over to finance a lot easier than the other way around. My wife got a finance degree and graduated a few years before me, she wished she got an accounting degree instead because of how many more opportunities there are in accounting. According to her, half of her classmates couldn’t find a job in finance for over a year after graduating. Meanwhile as soon as I declared my major to accounting I got 4 internship offers before I took a single class. If anyone’s questioning, I’m happy to give more answers between the two and why I think accounting is loads better to study in school
Woah, ACCA is a combination of all of these. It has both Financial Management and Financial Reporting. Then in the Professional level, Strategic Business Reporting and Advanced Financial Management.
I have a degree in finance. When I was a freshman in college in 1980, my first finance professor asked this same question. All the students said the same things on your list. Finally, the professor said: In accounting 1+1=2. In finance, 1+1=whatever you want it to be 😅
Accounting shows the summary of handling resources n monitoring the transaction n Finance is complete depend upon the strategy of capital management with all entire analysis n execution of plan depend upon market future foresight strategy

Thank you Brian. I feel like we all deserve basic accounting knowledge to succeed and pass our future in peace.
I've never heard if this before
Also if you’re an accountant you can transition into a financial analyst role, but the inverse doesn’t work.
When everything is highlighted, nothing is highlighted. 😏
Thank you for this
Nice😊

Hello! Thank you!
All connected and kind of requires both knowledge when it comes to corporate.
Major in accounting or double major in accounting and finance. I've known way too many finance majors to struggle while accountants always had jobs
Accounting: What is the current health of the company, and why?
Financing: How can we improve the health of the company going forward?
well explaained!!
